Tell the people who make Showcaser about a problem or an idea, from the app or the website
Found something that doesn't work, or want something Showcaser doesn't do yet? Tell us. A report goes privately to the people who make the app.
From the app
Report an Issue is the last row of the list (the sidebar's foot on the iPad and Mac), the same on the iPhone, iPad and Mac. On the Mac it is also Help → Report an Issue… in the menus.
- Choose Bug or Feature, give it a short title, and say what happened or what you'd like.
- Your name and email are optional. Leave both blank to report anonymously; fill them in only if you'd like a reply.
- A screenshot is optional: tap or click to choose one, or on the Mac drag an image onto the page.
- Attach diagnostics adds the app's version, your device's model and system, and recent events and timings, with anything sensitive masked. Preview shows exactly what would be sent. Turn it off to send only what you wrote.
- A short check proves you're a person, then Send.
The report also names the open showcase by its id, so we can find its site. It never carries your key, your listings, their private fields or your photos.
From the website
On a device without the app, showcaser.app/support has the same form: choose Problem or Idea or question, and say where it happened. It sends what you write, the page's address and your browser's name and language.
Diagnostics on their own
Diagnostics, beside Report an Issue, has two tabs, on every device. Health Check (on the Mac, ⇧⌘D opens it in a window of its own) shows the same health report the attachment would: the app, your device, the open showcase (whether it loaded, how many listings, its address) and which showcases have their key on this device. It never shows a key. Nothing on it leaves the device unless you copy it or attach it to a report. Network Monitor lists the app's requests to the host: when, which address, how long, how big and the answer, never a key or a signature.
A question about a showcase you visited
That goes to its owner, not to us: their phone, email and address are on every page of their site.
The same manual ships inside the app. This section as Markdown
