The magnifying glass beside the showcase's name (⌘F) finds listings, pages, settings and this manual
The magnifying glass beside the showcase's name searches the whole app: the Mac's and the iPad's sidebar, and the list on the iPhone. Click or tap it, or press ⌘F (on the Mac, and on an iPad or iPhone with a keyboard), and type.
What it finds
The sidebar (or the list) keeps only the rows whose names match. Under them, the matches are grouped by where they come from, each group best match first:
- Listings: every listing, hidden ones too, by its name first, then its price, its status and every field's value (fields only in this app too), then its summary and description.
- Pages and Settings: your pages, the listings page and Inventory Settings (the tab name, the photo shape, the schema, fields and statuses). Site's tabs, Details, Layout and Address, and the sections inside them, such as Contact, Site Fonts or Your Own Domain. Settings (Themes, Text), iCloud (and its Recovery Key), Manage Showcases, About's tabs, Diagnostics and Report an Issue.
- Manual: this manual's pages.
Each group shows five at first; Show more… shows the rest. Searching happens on your device; nothing you type is sent anywhere.
Opening a result
Click or tap a result. A listing opens in a card beside the one you are working in (on the iPhone, over the page you are on). Anything else opens as its row does, on the right tab; a section scrolls into view and lights up for a moment.
With a keyboard, ↓ and ↑ move through the rows and results and Return opens the one marked (or the first). Your words stay in the field, so the next result is one step away. The ✕ clears them; Escape, or the magnifying glass again, hides the search.
Not the same as the listings' filter
The Filter field under the listings page's tabs (Filter for sale) only narrows the grid you are looking at, by the same words: the name, the price, every field's value, the summary and the description. The magnifying glass beside the name searches everything.
The same manual ships inside the app. This section as Markdown
