Fonts

Choosing a face for your site's name and tabs and another for its text, from a short list served by your own site

ST-6Your siteAll sections ↓

Fonts sets the type your site is drawn in. There are two choices, each from a short list.

Open Site in the list (the sidebar on the iPad and Mac), the Layout tab. A choice waits for the tab's check mark, then the site wears it.

Name and tabs

The showcase's name, the tabs, and the wall's room titles. Each row shows your showcase's name in that face, so you can compare them right there.

Text

Everything else: titles, descriptions, pages, labels. Each row shows your subtitle (or a sample line) in that face.

The faces

  • System: the device's and the browser's own face. This is what a site uses until you choose.
  • Julius Sans One: thin, wide capitals, for a name and the tabs.
  • Figtree: a clean, friendly sans, for reading.

Tap or click a face to choose it, then publish the tab. To check, tap or click your address under the showcase's name to open your site. New faces appear in this list as soon as they are added, without an app update.

Private by design

Fonts are served from your own site, never from a font service, so nobody else learns who visits. A visitor's browser asks only your site for its letters.

The same manual ships inside the app. This section as Markdown
