The list of places on the iPhone, the sidebar and cards on the iPad, going back, Side by Side, and where Settings is
The iPhone and iPad show the same places as the Mac: your listings, each page of your site, the Site card, and the app's own Settings, iCloud, About, Diagnostics and Report an Issue. Each place is a card. Only how they sit on the screen differs.
The list
From the top, on the iPhone (and the iPad's sidebar):
- The showcase's name, with its address under it (your own domain once it is connected): tap either to switch showcases, or for Manage Showcases…. See Several showcases (GS-4). To open your live site, use the globe at the top of the listings page, a page or a listing, or the link at the top of Site → Address.
- The magnifying glass beside the name: search the whole app. See Searching the app (GS-6).
- The listings page, named as your site's first tab (Inventory, or what you call it), with the number for sale.
- Each of your site's pages, then New Page. Touch and hold a page for Arrange Pages… and Delete Page…. See Pages and tabs (ST-2).
- Site: your site's details, layout and address. See Site details and contact (ST-1).
- Settings (this device's app only, never the site), iCloud (the showcase's key and recovery key), About, Diagnostics and Report an Issue.
On the iPhone
The app opens straight into the listings page. Tapping a row opens its card full screen; the back chevron at the top left, or a swipe from the left edge, goes back to the list. A page of your site shows the site's other pages as tabs under its header, so you can hop between them.
An iPad in a narrow Split View works the same way.
On the iPad
At 700 points wide or more, in portrait or landscape, the iPad shows the Mac's window: the list as a sidebar on the left and the cards on the right. Tap a row to open its card. A listing opens beside the grid. See The Mac window (MAC-1).
- Side by Side is a row at the top of the sidebar, and a chip on a card's tab band. Hold it with one finger, or tap it to keep it on, then tap a second row: the two cards sit side by side, each with its own ✕.
- With a hardware keyboard, ⌘ does the same, and the Mac's shortcuts work: ⌘N, ⌘S, ⌘R, ⌘1 to ⌘9 and ⌘,. About → Keyboard Shortcuts lists just these on the iPad. See Keyboard shortcuts (KB-4).
- Keep This Arrangement keeps cards side by side as a row, as on the Mac. Cards never open in windows of their own on the iPad. See Cards side by side and in windows (MAC-2).
Keeping it fresh
Coming back to the app after a minute or more refreshes it by itself. Pull the listings down to refresh them (the tabs and the filter stay put). With a keyboard, ⌘R refreshes.
The same manual ships inside the app. This section as Markdown
