Statuses and the status note

What a listing's status does on the site and in the app, the quick ways to change it, and the private note beside it

LS-3ListingsAll sections ↓

Every listing has a status. It decides which tab the listing sits under in the app, whether it is on the site, and whether the site marks it.

The statuses a new showcase has

With the Vehicles or General schema:

  • Available: on the site, nothing marked. Under For sale.
  • Pending and On hold: on the site, marked. Under For sale.
  • Sold: on the site, marked Sold. Under Sold. A sold listing stays on the site until you hide it.
  • Hidden: off the site. Under Hidden.

The Artwork schema has Available, Collection (shown and marked, not for sale), Sold and Hidden; Tools & equipment has In the shop, Lent out, Out for repair and Hidden. You can change any of them except Hidden, which every showcase has. See Statuses in the schema (SC-4).

Under the status, the form says what it means: Sold: on the site, marked "Sold". or Hidden: not on the site.

Changing a status

  • In the listing's form (Edit, the pencil), pick it under Status, then publish with the check mark.
  • On the listings page, touch and hold a listing (right-click on the Mac) for Mark Sold, Mark Pending and the others, or Hide.

A menu choice is published at once.

The status note

Under any status but the first, the form has a Note: who has it, when it's back. Dave, back Oct 20. The note is only in the app, sealed with your showcase's key, and never on the site. It shows on the listing's tile with a small lock.

When the listing comes back to the first status (Available, In the shop), the note is cleared.

The same manual ships inside the app. This section as Markdown
