Bringing photos and video in from the Finder or Photos, starting a listing by dropping photos, and reordering by dragging
On the Mac, photos and video come in the way you'd expect: drag them from the Finder or from Photos.
Onto a listing
Drag photos or videos from the Finder or Photos onto the Photos and video area of a listing's card. The area is outlined while you hold them over it. Each one is made ready on the Mac, as on the iPhone and iPad: resized, its location removed, video compressed. See Photos and video (LS-2). Preparing photos… or Compressing video… shows while it works.
You can also use Add from Files… or Add from Photos… below the photos.
Onto the listings page: a new listing
Drop photos on the grid of the listings page (it says Drop photos to start a new listing in… and the status chip you are on). A new listing opens in a card beside the grid with those photos, in that chip's status, ready for its details, until you publish it or Discard it.
Reordering
Drag a photo or video onto another in the strip to move it there. The first one is the cover, marked COVER. Right-click one for Make Cover or Remove. The new order goes to the site when you publish.
Onto a page
Drag photos from the Finder or Photos onto a page's Photos to add them to the page. Right-click a page photo to move or remove it. See Pages and tabs (ST-2).
What can come in
Photos in any format the Mac can open, and videos. A file that isn't a photo says That file isn't a photo Showcaser can read. A video longer than about five minutes is refused; trim it first.
