On the Mac, Showcaser is one window: a sidebar on the left and a row of **cards** beside it. Every place in the app is a card: your listings, one listing, a page, the Site card. It is the same showcase, with the same keys and listings, as on your iPhone and iPad, and the window wears your showcase's theme. An iPad 700 points wide or more shows this same window, sidebar and cards; the iPhone shows the sidebar as a list. See Finding your way on iPhone and iPad (GS-5).

## The sidebar

From the top:

- **The showcase switcher**: the open showcase's name, with its address under it (your own domain once it is connected, else your name at showcaser.app). Click either to switch to another showcase, or for **Manage Showcases…**, the card where you add a showcase, add one with its recovery key, or remove one from this Mac. See Several showcases (GS-4).
- **The magnifying glass** beside the switcher (**⌘F**): search the whole app. See Searching the app (GS-6). To open your site in your browser, click the globe on the listings page, a page or a listing, or the address at the top of Site → Address, where you change it. See Your address (ST-9).
- Any arrangements you have kept, at the top. See Cards side by side and in windows (MAC-2).
- **Your pages**, with no heading: every page of your site, in the site's order. The first is your listings page, named as its tab is on the site (*Inventory*, or what you call it), with the number of listings for sale. Then each of your own pages, and **New Page**. Right-click a page for **Arrange Pages…** (drag them into order, save once) and **Delete Page…**. The listings page always stays first, as it does on the site.
- **Site**: one card with three tabs. **Details** (name, contact, about, footer), **Layout** (layout, theme, fonts and header photo) and **Address** (your address and your own domain). Each tab is a form: what you change waits for the check mark in the card's header, and ✕ (or leaving the tab, or closing the card or its window) discards it, asking first.
- **At the foot, always there**: **Settings** (**⌘,**: this Mac's window only: **Themes**, with *Wear the showcase's theme* at the top, and **Text**), **iCloud** (this showcase's key in iCloud Keychain, and its recovery key), **About** (with the build number: release notes, features, this manual, keyboard shortcuts and the legal texts), **Diagnostics** (**⇧⌘D**: Health Check and Network Monitor) and **Report an Issue**. See Report an Issue (TS-3).

Click a row to open its card.

## The listings page

Your listings as tiles: the cover, and under it the name and price, with the status at the bottom right when it says more than the tab (*Pending* under For sale). A listing with no price shows the date it was added there instead. A listing with no photos says *No photos yet*. The button right of the filter switches between the tiles and a list: one condensed row per listing, with a small cover, the name, the price and the date added, and the status when it says more than the tab. Each device remembers which you chose. On top, one tab per status group with its count (*For sale 17 · Sold 2 · Hidden 1*); **⌘1** to **⌘9** pick a tab. Under the tabs, a filter (*Filter for sale*) that keeps the listings whose name, price, fields, summary or description hold what you type, and a category menu when your schema has categories. On the iPhone and iPad, pull the listings down to refresh them.

- **Click** a listing to open it in a card beside the grid.
- **Right-click** for **Edit**, a **Mark** for each other status (such as **Mark Sold**), **Hide**, **Open on the Web** and **Copy Link**.
- **Drop photos** on the grid to start a new listing with them, in the status of the tab you are on.
- The card's globe opens your listings page on your site.
- The card's **+** starts a new listing (**⌘N**). One at a time: while a new listing is still unpublished, **+** brings it forward instead of starting another.
- The card's **Edit** (the pencil) opens the page's settings: its tab name, the layout's photo shape, and the fields and statuses every listing has. See The listing schema (SC-1). The chevron goes back to the grid.

## A page's card

A page opens as it reads: its title, its words and its photos. **Edit** (the pencil) turns it into its form; the check mark (**⌘S**) publishes it and turns it back. What you typed stays if you go back without publishing.

## A listing's card

A listing opens as it reads: its photos, name, price, summary, status, fields and description. The header's globe opens it on the web; **Edit** (the pencil) turns it into its form, the same as on the iPhone and iPad, and the check mark (or **⌘S**) publishes it. See Publishing, hiding and deleting (LS-6). What you type stays in the card while it is open, even if you move the card to a window of its own.

## When there's no showcase yet

The window says *Welcome to Showcaser* and waits for a showcase to arrive by iCloud Keychain. See Your first showcase (GS-2).
